[0002] The present disclosure relates to physiological monitoring devices, systems, and methods.

[0003] Hospitals, nursing homes, and other patient care facilities typically utilize a number of sensors, devices, and/or monitors to collect or analyze a patient's physiological parameters. Various conventional sensor systems exist which collect physiological data using physiological sensors, process the data, and display the data on a display device. Clinicians, including doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel, use the physiological parameters obtained from patient monitors to diagnose illnesses and to prescribe treatments. Clinicians also use the physiological parameters to monitor patients during various clinical situations to determine whether to increase the level of medical care given to patients.

[0004] Some conventional sensor systems require time-consuming and complex procedures for changing the monitoring of physiological data between display devices. For example, a user may be required to unplug sensors from a first display device and replug the sensors into a second display device. As another example, a user may be required to power the sensors off and then power them on to wirelessly connect with a different display device. As another example, a user may be required to manually change a pairing status of the sensors and/or display devices to terminate a wireless connection with one display device and/or to establish a wireless connection with another display device. For at least the foregoing examples, changing monitoring of physiological data from a first display device to a second display device in a conventional sensor system can take long amounts of time, can be overly complex and frustrating to a user, can result in user error, and can result in loss of physiological data such as during a time in which the sensors are not connected (e.g., wirelessly and/or wired) to any display device.

Described herein are systems, devices, processes, etc. for transferring physiological monitoring of a PMS from one monitoring hub to another monitoring hub and which can provide numerous benefits including improved physiological monitoring, improved health care services, and the like.

Advantageously, such first and second portions of the mounting assembly 900 can be secured (for example, removably secured) to one another without the need for one or more fasteners (such as screws or nails), which can allow for quick attachment and/or removal. Such quick attachment and/or removal of the first and second portions of the mounting assembly 900 can in turn advantageously allow for quick attachment and/or removal of monitoring hub 700 from an object or surface (for example, a wall). Such first portion can be mount 910 (with respect to mounting assembly 900 illustrated in FIGS. 9A-9M) or mount 1010 (with respect to mounting assembly 1000 illustrated in FIGS. 10A-10K). When protrusion 928 is positioned at least partially within and/or through opening 916 and/or contacts structure surrounding opening 916, the opening 916 and/or such surrounding structure can present a physical interference that inhibits (for example, prevents) mount 910 from detaching from mount 920. When lever 926 is moved to such second position, protrusion 928 can be removed from opening 916 and such physical interference can be removed, thereby allowing mount 910 to be detached from mount 920. In some implementations, lever 926 is biased such that as mount 910 is vertically inserted into mount 920 (for example, base 912 is inserted between fingers 924) protrusion 928 contacts a surface of base 912 and snaps into engagement with opening 916. As shown in at least FIGS. 9C-9D, in some implementations the “free” end of lever 926 (which may also be referred to as an “actuation end”) is bent, for example, away from a surface or plane of a remaining portion of lever 926 and/or of base 922. Such implementation can advantageously provide more space for a user to access the lever 926 when mounts 910, 920 are attached to each other and/or to a surface (for example, a wall). In some implementations, protrusion 928 comprises a semi-circular shape. In some implementations, opening 927 comprises a semi-circular shape. In one example method: mount 910 is secured to hub 700, for example, via screws inserted through holes 911 in arms 914 (see FIGS. 9E-9F) and into threaded holes 711 in hub 700; mount 920 is secured to a wall or other object via screws inserted through holes 921; and hub 700 and mount 910 are secured to mount 920, for example, by vertically positioning base 912 within fingers 924 of mount 920. In some implementations, a portion of lever 926 can engage with a portion of mount 910 when mounts 910, 920 are connected to one another. For example, protrusion 928 can be positioned within opening 916 of mount 910 and/or can engage with structure surrounding opening 916. Such engagement of lever 926 with a portion of mount 910 can inhibit (for example, prevent) mounts 910, 920 from being disconnected from one another. When disconnection is desired, lever 926 can be actuated (for example, by moving a free end of lever 926 in a direction generally perpendicular to a surface or plane of base 922), which in turn can remove protrusion 928 from opening 916, thereby allowing mount 910 to be disconnected from mount 920. In some implementations, mount 910 is removed from mount 920 by moving mount 910 in a direction that is opposite to a direction that mount 910 was moved to insert mount 910 into mount 920. For example, in some implementations, mount 910 is connected to mount 920 by downwardly inserting mount 910 into mount 920 and mount 910 is disconnected from mount 920 by upwardly moving mount 910 relative to mount 920.
