BATTERY APPARATUS, ENERGY STORAGE APPARATUS, AND ELECTRIC APPARATUS

[0002] The present application belongs to the technical field of batteries, and in particular, to a battery apparatus, an energy storage apparatus, and an electric apparatus.

[0003] Energy conservation and emission reduction are the key to the sustainable development of the automotive industry, and electric vehicles have become an important component of the sustainable development of the automotive industry due to energy saving and environment protection advantages thereof. For electric vehicles, battery technology is an important factor for the development thereof.

[0004] A battery management system generally includes a case, a circuit board, and a lid body. A connector receptacle is provided on the circuit board to be connected to a circuit in a battery apparatus or to be connected to an external circuit. The circuit board is installed in the case, the lid body is capped on the case, and the lid body is provided with an opening for the connector receptacle to extend out to be connected to a corresponding circuit. However, due to tolerances of components, it is difficult to control a gap between the connector receptacle and a side wall of the opening, making it difficult for the battery management system to meet requirements of a specified protection level.

[0005] An objective of embodiments of the present application is to provide a battery apparatus, an energy storage apparatus, and an electric apparatus, to alleviate a problem in the related art that it is difficult to control a gap between a connector receptacle and a side wall of a corresponding opening on a lid body, making it difficult for the battery management system to meet requirements of a specified protection level.

[0006] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a battery apparatus, comprising a battery cell and an electronic control assembly electrically connected to the battery cell. The electronic control assembly comprises:

  • [0008] a housing provided with an accommodating cavity, wherein the circuit board is installed in the accommodating cavity, and the housing is provided with an opening for the connector receptacle to extend out; and
  • [0009] a covering structure disposed on the housing and surrounding the connector receptacle, wherein the covering structure at least partially covers a gap between the connector receptacle and a side wall of the opening.

[0010] In the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application, the covering structure is provided to be installed on the housing, the covering structure is supported by using the housing, the covering structure surrounds the connector receptacle, and the covering structure at least partially covers the gap between the connector receptacle and the side wall of the opening, and thus the gap between the connector receptacle and the side wall of the opening can be covered, reduced, or occluded according to requirements of a protection level, so that the electronic control assembly meets requirements of the required protection level. In addition, the opening can be made relatively large in size to allow the connector receptacle to pass through the opening, so as to reduce the impact of dimensional chain tolerances on the assembly of the connector receptacle, and reduce the risk of the side wall of the opening interfering with the connector receptacle.

[0094] A battery apparatus is generally provided with an electronic control assembly, such as a battery management system or a battery monitoring unit, to collect working information of battery cells in the battery apparatus and control charging and discharging of the battery cells. The electronic control assembly generally includes a circuit board and a housing, and the housing generally includes a case and a lid body. A connector receptacle is provided on the circuit board to be connected to a circuit in a battery apparatus or to be connected to an external circuit. The circuit board is installed in the case, the lid body is capped on the case, and the lid body is provided with an opening for the connector receptacle to extend out to be connected to a corresponding circuit. The structure of such an electronic control assembly has the following dimensional chain tolerances: the dimensional tolerance of the case, the positioning tolerance of connection between the case and the circuit board, the dimensional tolerance of the circuit board itself, the assembly tolerance of the connector receptacle and the circuit board, the dimensional tolerance of the lid body, the positioning tolerance of connection between the lid body and the case, and the like. Accumulation of this series of tolerances makes it difficult to control a gap between the connector receptacle and a side wall of the opening. In the case that the size of the opening in the lid body is matched with the connector receptacle to just meet requirements of a protection level, due to accumulated tolerances of a dimensional chain, it is difficult for the connector receptacle to be inserted into the opening. Even if the connector receptacle is inserted into the opening in some cases, a side wall of the opening is caused to abut against the connector receptacle, causing mutual interference between the connector receptacle and the lid body. A stress on the connector receptacle exerted by the lid body abutting easily causes the circuit board to detach from a welded position at the root of the connector receptacle, thereby affecting performance of the electronic control assembly. Therefore, the size of the opening is generally set to be larger than the size of the outer periphery of the connector receptacle, which makes it difficult for the electronic control assembly to meet requirements of a specified protection level.

[0095] Based on the foregoing considerations, in order to alleviate the problem in the related art that it is difficult to control the gap between the connector receptacle and the side wall of the corresponding opening on the housing, making it difficult for the electronic control assembly to meet requirements of the specified protection level, the embodiments of the present application provide a battery apparatus, in which a covering structure is provided on the housing of the electronic control assembly, the covering structure surrounds the connector receptacle and at least partially covers the gap between the connector receptacle and the side wall of the opening. In this way, the opening can be made relatively large in size, so as to reduce impact of dimensional chain tolerances on assembly of the connector receptacle, facilitate the connector receptacle to pass through the opening, and reduce the risk of the side wall of the opening interfering with the connector receptacle. The covering structure at least partially covers the gap between the connector receptacle and the side wall of the opening, and thus the gap between the connector receptacle and the side wall of the opening can be covered, reduced, or occluded according to requirements of the protection level, so that the electronic control assembly meets requirements of the required protection level.

[0100] Referring to FIG. 1, FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a structure of a vehicle 11 according to some embodiments of the present application. The vehicle 11 may be a fuel vehicle, a gas vehicle, or a new energy vehicle, and the new energy vehicle may be a battery electric vehicle, a hybrid vehicle, or a range-extended electric vehicle. Inside the vehicle 11, a battery apparatus 200 is provided, which may be provided at the bottom, head, or tail of the vehicle 11. The battery apparatus 200 may be used to power the vehicle 11, for example, the battery apparatus 200 may be used as an operating power supply of the vehicle 11. The vehicle 11 may further include a controller 111 and a motor 112, the controller 111 being used to control the battery apparatus 200 to power the motor 112, e.g., for a working power requirement of the vehicle 11 during starting, navigating, and driving.

[0101] In some embodiments, the battery apparatus 200 may be used not only as the operating power supply of the vehicle 11, but also as a driving power supply of the vehicle 11, instead of, or partially instead of, fuel or natural gas, to provide driving power for the vehicle 11.

[0102] Referring to FIG. 2, the embodiments of the present application provide a charging network 12, including a charging pile 121 and an energy storage apparatus 14, where the charging pile 121 is electrically connected to the energy storage apparatus 14, and the energy storage apparatus 14 is used to provide electric energy for the charging pile 121. The charging pile 121 is provided with one or more connection apparatuses 122 which are used to be connected to an electric device (for example, the vehicle 11), so as to replenish energy to the electric device.

[0106] Referring to FIG. 4, the embodiments of the present application provide an energy storage apparatus 14, including one or more battery clusters to increase voltage and capacity of the energy storage apparatus 14. The battery cluster may include one or more battery apparatuses 200 which are connected in series through a bus component to increase the voltage of the energy storage apparatus 14. When the energy storage apparatus 14 includes a plurality of battery clusters, the plurality of battery clusters are connected in parallel to increase the capacity of the energy storage apparatus 14.
